During a pivotal time when Auckland city is increasingly defined by peak congestion Project microCAR is a unique and innovative proposal for a next generation urban mobility service. Launching initially with a fleet of connected plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) we will provide a high quality, convenient and affordable alternative to car ownership here in Auckland.

The most exciting potential of this proposal is that two microCAR's can travel in staggered formation (as below) on the motorway like a motorcycle (the same width) which means in sufficient numbers the motorway capacity could be doubled without the need to build another lane!!!

Urbanisation combined with sustainability means that more people are living in cities, looking for convenient, sustainable and affordable ways of getting around. Car ownership is losing its status, being replaced by smart phones, smart watches, tablets and new cloud based technologies. But there remains a need for mobility. And with connectivity and sharing services on the up, markets continue to converge. In line with these developments, the boundaries between corporate fleet, travel and expenses management dissolve into a single area of “mobility management”.
